Kew Park Primary & Infant School
From Leaks to Learning: Kew Park’s Renovation Story
About Project
Nestled in the heart of Westmoreland, Jamaica, Kew Park Primary and Infant School provides education to more than 130 students, from preschool to grade six.
For years, the school grappled with serious infrastructure challenges—leaking roofs, termite damage, inadequate toilet facilities, poor lighting, and crumbling walls in the infant section—all of which made it difficult to deliver a safe, supportive learning environment.
Recognizing the urgent need for change, World Class Jamaica (WCJ) launched the $20 Challenge, calling on our global community to act. And you did.
In just 7 weeks, with 300+ donors across 12 countries, we met our $25,000 fundraising goal—and transformed the learning experience at Kew Park.
Here's what your support made possible:
A Brand New Roof
no more water leaking into classrooms, no more slip hazards for children.
A Peaceful, Welcoming Nap Room
with new flooring, inspirational wall art, and cozy finishes.
A Fully Renovated Infant Classroom
with fresh paint, new ceilings, and ceiling fans for proper ventilation.
Restored washroom facilities
including newly installed toilets, sink, door, and bright, clean walls.
This campaign proves what we believe at our core:
“Small acts, when multiplied, can transform the world.”
Thank you for being part of this incredible transformation.
